Import an existing resume (PDF or Word)
Upload your current resume and it fills the editor, so you don’t retype anything.
Updated October 29, 2026
- Choose “Upload a resume” when you start, or upload it on the free ATS resume checker page.
- Check the “Did we read this right?” summary in the report: the number of roles, points, schools, skills and languages we found.
- Open it in the editor. Every section is filled in and you can correct anything that was read wrong.
Good to know
- PDF and Word (.docx) files work, including PDFs exported from design tools such as Figma or Canva, as long as the text is real text and not an image.
- A scanned resume (a photo or image of the page) can’t be read. Upload the original file instead.
- A cover letter in the same file, for example on page two, is recognised and saved as its own cover letter.
- The text of your file is read once to fill the editor and is not stored as a file.
